Frequently Asked Questions

Can the presentation be done outdoors in the summer months?

Absolutely, weather permitting. We all need to be aware of the temperatures for both our guests and animals. An indoor space or an outdoor shelter is needed for backup in case of extreme heat/ temperature fluctuations or rain. Indoor space is required during the colder months.

When do we need to choose the animals?

You can! Please have your requests in a week before the scheduled show. Make your selection from our animals tab at the top of the page. Or we can create a surprise list for you!

Do we need to set up anything in our home for the presentation?

We don’t require anything set up as far as tables or chairs, we will just use the floor. We require an open spaced room large enough so the children/ attendees can sit in a half circle, the animals and handler can be on the opposite side. We do have a thick drop sheet on hand in case of a carpeted floor. Please contact us if you are inquiring about the setup for a large presentation or a display show.

How do I book?

Please use the online booking request form to ensure you have given us the information required. You can also email us directly at info@zootoyou.ca with your general inquiry. We respond to all emails within 24 business hrs, if you haven’t received a response please go to your junk email folder as it’s likely been filtered out. If you still can’t find a response please call or text 705-432-3490.

For birthday parties, a $100-$200 non-refundable deposit is required to secure/confirm your date and time slot. It is payable by e-transfer to info@zootoyou.ca with your name & event date once you have submitted your booking request.

How do I pay for the presentation?

You can pay ahead via e-transfer or cash/e-transfer/ cheque the day of the event. Sorry we do not accept credit cards. 

Travel Charges

PLEASE NOTE: Updated pricing for travel charges will take effect April 1, 2026. Bookings quoted on or before March 31, 2026, will be honoured at current rates for a limited time.

Zoo To You is based in the east end of Kawartha Lakes and proudly travels throughout Central Ontario to bring our animals directly to you.

Travel fees vary by location and reflect the distance travelled, as well as the time and resources required to safely deliver the animals to your event.

We believe in full transparency, so travel charges are clearly listed by region below, allowing you to easily calculate your total cost in advance with no hidden fees or surprises.
